Went for a meeting this morning with the Principal of Shuqun Secondary School... Next year she will be the Principal for Northlight School, a new school for the youth-at-risk... It was the fastest sit down meeting I had... Lasted about 10-15 mins only... So sad... Seems like I have nothing much to offer her... With the big boys like OBS and a non-profit organisation going in to provide so much to the school. So many more companies have also offered their services at cost price or even for free... But I can't afford to do that... Then my daily bread how?
Guess maybe at cost can lah... But can't be all the time... And what type of programmes can we offer? What type of niche can we provide for them? OBS has the facilities and the expertise, the non-profit organisation provides low cost and long term attachment to the students, cos they are moving into mentoring/befrienders style... Can I generate something in between?
Suddenly I lost the motivation to do what I hoped to do... Been meeting up with so many people in the past 3 weeks or so, hoping that some of the stuff will materialise to real projects, to start earning money... But no... Nothing is firmed yet... Nothing that I can work on full-time... And I need that... I really need it, to boost my own morale...
Llike some of my friends and contacts say, "You should be quite busy this June huh? Lots of camps and workshops happen during this period of time..." But no... I have don't have a single deal yet... Not sure how much longer I can sustain... But I will keep trying... Probably need another round of reflection... Was so looking forward to clinching quite a number of deals... But not yet, no positive responses yet...
Can someone please help me? I want to upgrade myself... But I don't have the means to... And if I don't upgrade myself, I don't have the paper qualifications to do what I hope to do... What the! Hai... Vicious cycle attacking me again...

Adventure Singapore 2006
Went to help out in Adventure Singapore 2006 today... It is an adventure race organised by Singapore Sports Council, and run by ACE Adventure... Was only activated last night by Raymond... Not sure how he got involved, but anyway, yeah... Think he was also called in at the last minute too...
My station was this Tyrolean Line/Tower thing... Not too sure what it was until I arrived there this morning... And it's actuallysome horizontal traverse thing... Where ropes have been laid so that you can cross a crevice... Well, kind of a crevice... A really wide one... Hahaha...
Well, there was a lot of pulling of rope, tugging to tighten it so that when the participants went onto it, there wouldn't be so much slack... But well, after a few participants, especially the slightly heavier ones, and also with the rising tide of the day, most of them got wet! Hahaha...
Guess it was an eye opener for me... Been a long time since I got involved in such big events... Especially in terms of those that are adventure based...
Realised that I had so many friends, and there were so many people, who were interested in such races... Started to wonder if I were them, would I be able to complete the race... And thining about it, with my fitness level, I doubt so... Think I really need to start working out... Need to regain some firmness in my body, build up endurance and stamina... (Especially since I may be going diving again soon... Can't go flabby... Not nice liao...)
Met so many people there... There was Jameson, Dex, Jason Mak, Bryan, Goh Chuan Hwee, Alex Tan, Allen Tan, Poh Seng, Azmy, Jean... These are those that I can remember meeting... Then those who were there to help out and are organisers: Jeffrey ('boyfriend'), Jones, Raymond, Ronnie, Li Wai, Sherine, Ai Chin, Kenneth Chng... These are those that I know before today... Then some that I just met with today too... Wow... I'm impressed by the number of people that I know... But so what? They don't really know me what... =P
Anyway, will blog about this another time probably... Brother wants to play PS2 with me! =P
